This is a lovely 64-year-old patient who had thought about her eyes for a LONG time. We discussed doing a lower eyelid lift to smooth the transition between her eyes and her cheek, and we also did some midface fat grafting to restore facial volume. She was nervous to do it, as many patients often are because we ask ourselves – “is this being reasonable?” She is SO happy she did it and she absolutely loves her results. Her incision is right under the eyelash line, and through that incision we removed the bulging fat pads in 3 pockets over the lower eyelids, and we also removed some of the excess skin as well. The scar heals so well that it is often very difficult to even discern as healing progresses. The fat grafting was a great addition to balance things out and simply restore some facial volume that had been lost over time.
